Celebrating a New Release

Silver Dollar Duke is Out at Last!

Picture
This book has been in the making for almost five years. I knew I wanted to write a Western. I researched, toured ranches and old buildings, visited Tombstone, Bisbee, Sonoita, and Tucson historical sites. I loved every second of it - and then grew so intimidated by the project that I had to put it aside for a time. I focused instead on Regency releases.

At last, Silver Dollar Duke is available to the world! You can get the paperback with an incredible original cover (thanks to Shaela Kay of BlueWaterBooks.com) or grab the book, OR borrow it in Kindle Unlimited. The point is - you can now read about Evan and Dannie, and how an English lord falls in love with an Arizona cowgirl.

In celebration of this week's release, I've been doing giveaways. And I have one especially for this blog....

Today's giveaway includes Line by Line, a Victorian romance by Jennifer Delamere, my book Mr. Gardiner and the Governess, and a bookish paper fan! These items will be sent out in a lovely book sleeve obtained from the fabulous BookBeau company.

Enter to Win: In the comment section, share your favorite thing about reading romance novels. What is it that brings you back again and again? Why do you pick up another "kissing book" after finishing the last? The answer can be as simple or detailed as you wish!

Rules: One entry per person. International entries permitted. Winner chosen at random on Monday. Winner contacted privately, though it will be announced on this page, too. If winner doesn't respond in 24 hours, new winner will be chosen. Must be 18 years or older to participate.

I keep coming back because of the adventure that leads up to the romance. The way I can escape just for those sweet few hours or minutes each day. Reading has helped me through the hard times in life. 💕

My favorite thing about romance books, specifically proper romances, is the respect shown between the man and woman. So many relations are uneven, yet the draw to see a strong willed man and woman come together with respect and passion, kindness and care, sweetness and snark; it’s the best!

I love to see the triumph of the relationship after (usually) a hard fought battle. It just brings all the feel goods.

I am a hopeless romantic and so it goes to conclude that I love romance in the stories I read! Getting to that happily-ever-after is always a fun adventure.

Thank you for the giveaway chance, Sally!

Everybody needs a feel good story to help them through the day. Sometimes, it's the only positive we have to hang on to.

I always come away feeling so happy inside! So of course I have to keeping going back for more. The journey is always a fun experience. Sometimes even an emotional roller coaster. But the payoff at the end is always satisfying and keeps you coming back for more!

There is just something about reading about imperfect people who end up being perfect for eachother. And reading about love, just brightens my own day.

The meet-cutes, the stolen glances, the heart felt yearnings, the kissing, the love story and transformation of characters foe the better. It makes life better, my life, my romantic life. It brings joy that love conquers all and I can go on living a beautiful life of Love. It always makes me sympathetic, caring, more romantic and happier.

I love escaping into a love story, not because mine isn't great, but because it is. I love to read about others' love stories and happy endings, too.

I feel like the characters become friends or family members to me, and I am rooting for their happiness. I'm definitely a romantic at heart, so, of course I want my "friends" to get to know each other and love each other and have their beautiful lives together. I just feel so good inside and hopeful when they get through struggles and come out together on the other side. ❤️

I love having an escape! I know it will be a clean read with some romance, fun plots, witty banter and fun scenes. Don't get me wrong, I still like other genres, but this is my go-to!

Hi Sally,
Really enjoy your books. Just finished the series that Lord Neil was in. I just wanted to say I lives his character. I think you could write more about Neil. I would loce to see him become a lawyer and continue to write wrongs. He is just such a lovable guy!
Live that he at least got a happy ending
Wendy
